I have Windows 10 installed as my main OS, but my printer (Canon LBP-810) is only supported by Windows 7 32bit. Is there a way to get the Win 7 driver to work in Win 10? They upgraded to Windows 10 (don't know if it is 32 or 64 bit version). It appears that the latest driver Canon offers is Win 7 32 bit. Is there any way to use the printer with Win 10? (Some type of compatibility mode in Win 10? How can the answer be improved?
Recently had to delete some network printers drivers on couple of Windows 7 machines. As usual went to Print Server >[computer] >Drivers >[driver] >Remove Driver Package After confirming removal by clicking Delete was presented with an error message: Failed to remove driver [driver name].
The specified printer driver is currently in use. In Windows XP these kind of issues would be normally resolved by deleting printer and restarting Print Spooler service. Unfortunately in this case it didn’t work. A quick search online revealed that often recommended solution is to delete printer from every single user profile who was ever logged on this machine. I had over 10 user profiles on this machine so wasn’t very keen to try it. Logitech C920 Driver Windows 10 there. I found another, quicker way to achieve the same result.
