Brand new system running Win10 Pro: MSI Gaming 5 Z170A Intel I5-6600K G.Skill Ripjaws V 16 GB (8x2) M.2 Samsung SM951 256 GB for primary boot (in M.2 slot 1) LG Optical BD (SATA slot 1) Crucial MX100 256 GB for backup (SATA slot 2) Seagate Barracuda 2TB for storage (SATA slot 3) (not that it matters for this question but) EVGA GeForce 980 Ti 6GB I used the MX100 in a previous build as a backup SSD (using Win7) and carried it over to this build (didn't format it, but that shouldn't really matter). The MSI BIOS detects the MX100 as an available storage drive, but Win10 doesn't recognize it in Explorer or in Disk Management. Everything is setup for SATA, not RAID. Tried enabling Hot Plug for the SATA port just to see if it might work. No help there. Tried to unplug and re-plug power and SATA connections to mobo, but no success.
What's really weird is that when installing Win10 I had the option of installing windows to either the SM951, the MX100, or the Seagate, but after Win10 was installed it isn't recognized. The MSI bios still detects it and Windows 10 does not. Does anyone out there have any ideas on what to try next? Is there maybe a driver issue? Canon Lbp 3310 Driver Windows 10 on this page.
